What is Reiki Healing

Reiki is an energy healing technique for relaxation and stress reduction, which also promotes healing. The word is made of two Japanese words - Rei ("God's Wisdom or the Higher Power") and Ki ("life force energy"). So Reiki actually means "spiritually guided life force energy."

Reiki can restore energy and well-being and in many cases, alleviate pain and illness. Reiki can help with the healing of physical, emotional, mental or spiritual issues.

Reiki healers channel and transfer healing energy by placing their hands on or above the recipient who lies fully clothed on a massage table or chair.

Reiki heals the patient physically, emotionally and spiritually by penetrating the deepest layers of the illness.

Reiki can be used for emotional and spiritual problems as well as physical ones. Through the constant use of Reiki, balance and harmony between the two hemispheres of the brain can be achieved.

Reiki is strong but at the same time it is gentle. Throughout history Reiki has been used for healing many types of illness. Reiki can also be used as a support therapy to other therapies including allopathic (conventional) medicine.

What can Reiki Heal

Reiki techniques are used to heal the body, mind, and spirit, and can help support people suffering from various major and minor ailments. It is even used as a complementary therapy in a number of hospitals today. It enhances the care a patient receives both in the hospital and  outpatient clinics. The first step to feeling better is by actually feeling better, and Reiki can do that from your very first session!  Some benefits that a patient might experience include:

You do not need to be into spirituality to enjoy the benefits of reiki. Regular Reiki treatments may bring about a calmer and peaceful state of being, that allows a person to better cope with everyday stress. This improved mental balance also benefits focus, learning, memory, energy, and mental clarity.  Reiki can heal mental and emotional wounds, as well as help manage mood swings, fear, frustration and anger. Reiki can also help repair personal relationships, allowing your relationships to blossom fully.
